Our apartment has one double and one twin bedroom, a living room, a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom. There is a roof terrace with a stunning view of the village to watch the sun setting and to hang your washing to dry It is situated in the old part of the town and access from the street is via a charming tiled courtyard which is characteristically full of flowering plants and a sitting area. The apartment is on the second floor of the two storey block of six. The area is extremely quiet and the only sounds we have heard in the morning are the local cockrels crowing. The apartment has two full length windows which makes it very light and airy.

Vejer de la Fronterra is a perfectly conserved historic hill town surrounded by beautiful countryside and beaches. Its steep zigzagging streets, whitewashed houses and flower-laden balconies also hide internet cafes, hotels, guesthouses, shops and restaurants, cafes and galleries.The coastline of Costa de la Luz covers miles and miles of spectacular white sandy beaches. It is within easy reach of several airports and many places of interest. A day trip to Morrocco is also a very easy and exciting addition to any holiday. There are many restaurants around the town and within walking distance. A great deal of time can be enjoyed wandering around the pretty narrow streets . There are so many things to do and see in Vejer that you could spend your whole holiday in the village.

Local Activities around Apartment in Vejer de la frontera
From Vejer it is easy to visit many other beautiful and well-known areas. The White Towns are all close by as are Cadiz, Sevilla, Bolonia and Tarifa. Granada is several hours drive away. There are many nature reserves all around the area. The nearest beaches are El Palmar and Los Cana de Mecca. El Palmar is a few kilometres out of Vejer. It has a lovely 4.8 km sweep of beach and is good for both body and board surfing as is most of the coastline down to Tarifa. Conil and Chiclanna are more built up areas with shops and many restaraunts. There is a weekly market in Conil on a Thursday morning. A day trip to Morroco is very easy ,it takes 40 minutes drive to Tarifa where you take a 35 minutes boat trip to another exciting continent. There are great opportunities for Whale and Dolphin watching excurions with guaranteed sightings of a variety of species of these enchanting mammals. The bird watching is also very good and the area is wonderful for walkers. Jerez is the home of Flamenco and of course the Bodagas for those who enjoy Sherry and wine.

Vejer is served by several airports. The nearest are Jerez and Gibraltar. Ryanair fly into Jerez and the journey by car takes aound 40 minutes. All the roads have good clear signs and are all good quality. Malaga and Sevilla airports are also within easy reach within 2 hours drive and any of these journeys are a great way to start your exploration of this exciting area of southern Spain.
