La Barrosa beach has always had blue flag status. The wide and shallow beach stretches for 8 miles and is framed by pine trees and low-rise developments. The sand is fine, pale yellow and the Atlantic Ocean is clean, clear and bright blue. The town has a good range of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Top quality, fresh seafood is the speciality on the Costa de la Luz. Things to do in La Barrosa - difficult to know where to start, but here are a few ideas: golf, horse riding, water sports such as windsurfing, walking, flamenco, wine and sherry tasting (especially in Jerez) and dolphin and whale watching close by… The superlative 18-hole golf course of Novo Sancti Petri is just 2 minutes drive from the apartment in La Barrosa. Cadiz, Seville, Jerez and Vejer are a short distance by car while the famed windsurfing beaches begin in La Barrosa and stretch down the coast. Perhaps most famous of all, La Barrosa's wonderful beach is perfect for families and couples alike.

La Barrosa is just 40 minutes drive from Jerez airport, which is serviced by airlines such as Ryanair and JMC holidays. You can also fly to Gibraltar (1.5 hours drive) with Monarch Airlines from Manchester and Luton, and BA from Gatwick. Seville airport is 1.5 hours drive and Malaga airport, serviced by numerous budget airlines, is less then 2.5 hours easy drive away.
