It is however only a five minute walk away from the picturesque village of Jimena de la Frontera. La Fuente Vieja is a beautiful and cheerful home, tastefully & comfortably furnished, filled with rustic antiques, authentic paintings & other interesting memorabilia. There is a large comfortable lounge with stunning Catalan vaulted ceiling, a bar & several dining areas peppered with bouquets of dried flowers and bowls of aromatic herbs & pot pourri, an open plan kitchen leading to a spacious pantry which gives access to the natural spring and BBQ area. The lounge has direct access to the shady front patio with several dining areas which are illuminated at night and overlook the national park and the river. A downstairs study with a handsome scroll top desk and a cloakroom/ shower finish the picture downstairs. An unbalustraded staircase leads upstairs to a library landing and then out to the prettiest of leafy verandahs also facing the river leading to the villas bedrooms. Silk wall hangings adorn the double pink master bedroom with private dressing room. The twin bedded blue room is also decorated with original paintings by well known artists and furnished with fresh cotton prints.A light and airy yellow room with double pine bed and views overlooking the mountains, completes the trio.
