This being one of the driest regions of Spain, it makes an ideal holiday destination in both summer and winter. The Mar Menor is also famous for The Black Mud which is said to have therapeutic qualities and can help relieve the pain of rheumatism, arthritis and many other ailments. La Manga club is around 5 minutes by car and this offers numerous championship golf courses, tennis courts, spa facilities and many other activities so you can do as little or as much as you like on your holiday. There are activities to suit all ages and these include horse riding, go-karting, tennis, golfing and a vast range of nautical sports. There is a selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance but if you travel a little further afield you can find a large selection of restaurants offering national and international dishes at very reasonable prices.
