We are situated just north east of Priego de Cordoba, between the villages of La Rabita and Castil de Campos, which is some 5 km away and where you will find your nearest shops and bars of which there are six, you will always be welcomed and offered numerous delicious ‘Tapas’. We are only 20 minutes from Carcabuey, the heart of Subbetica. The nearest airport is Granada, only 45 minutes drive away or Malaga airport which is 1 hour 45 minutes away, as is the coast. The nearest town with all major facilities including banks, doctors, tourist information office, shops and restaurants is Priego de Cordoba, just 15 minutes drive away. What to do in the area Apart from relaxing, swimming, walking, bird watching, shopping in Priego, eating and drinking – you can visit any one of the villages of the Subbetica Natural Park, try Iznajar overlooking the River Genil reservoir, where you can swim and sail, or visit the Castle and 16th Century church of Santiago. Carcabuey the Heart of Subbetica with its hermitage of La Virgen del Castillo. Dona Mencia with its Medieval Fortress and the town of fine wines. Zuheros has a bat cave, an arts museum and a 16th Century church. Or take a drive up to the Virgen de la Sierra close to Cabra and take in the views – stunning..... Or those wanting to walk can try the Via Verde ‘The Green Track’ this is the old olive train track that stretches 58 km, of course you don’t have to walk it all in one go...... Granada is well worth a visit as it is the home of the Alhambra Palace or the Sierra Nevada is just an hours drive away. Or try Cordoba and visit the magnificent Mosque and Cathedral.
